Victoria's Secret fashion show's photographer Russell James will land his first photographic exhibition in Shanghai during November 19-26. Russell has had fifteen years of unfettered backstage access at The Victoria's Secret Fashion Show that he will bring to life for this show. The Mercedes-Benz BACKSTAGE SECRETS by Russell James Shanghai Exhibit will bring Chinese audiences the most extraordinary 60+ pieces of artwork from his Backstage Secrets collection.

Armed with an all-access pass, a camera, and his uniquely personalized approach, Russell James has had fifteen years of unfettered backstage access at The Victoria's Secret Fashion Show that he now brings to us with Backstage Secrets. This candid collection invites us deep behind the scenes of the biggest and most watched fashion show in the world. James' photographs capture the candid moments, contagious excitement, and driving passion behind this global cultural phenomenon. Every year presents a unique cast and a changing location, giving James a whole new canvas.

 

Inside this exhibition, you'll find candid moments with Victoria's Secret models including Lily Aldridge, Alessandra Ambrosio, Gisele Bündchen, Gigi Hadid, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, Miranda Kerr, Karlie Kloss, Adriana Lima, Candice Swanepoel, and Liu Wen, and musicians such as Lady Gaga, Katy Perry, Bruno Mars, Nicki Minaj, Rhianna, Taylor Swift, and Justin Timberlake.

 

The Mercedes-Benz BACKSTAGE SECRETS by Russell James Shanghai Exhibit is aimed to create a real world of the Backstage of Victoria's Secret Show - "People are getting into a place where they were not supposed to be." 

 

 

 

Over the past two decades, Australian born photographer, Russell James, has become well known for his photographs of some of the most beautiful and iconic women of our time, shooting emotional portraits of the world's leading celebrities and supermodels, including Scarlett Johansson, Rihanna, Taylor Swift, Adriana Lima, Gisele Bündchen, Alessandra Ambrosio, to name a few. Russell's diverse photographic achievements range from fashion spreads and celebrity appearing in and on the covers of Vogue, Marie Claire, GQ, Sports Illustrated, and American Photo and French Photo, to breakthrough advertising campaigns for global brands such as Victoria's Secret, Rolex, and Donna Karan International, to exhibiting for brands such as Hermès.
