Taiwan’s capital is dynamic, vibrant and perpetually in motion, and on this tour we’ll explore the city by bicycle, on foot, and using Taipei’s convenient Metro system. We’ll start by bicycle, getting off the main avenues to explore the peaceful lanes and alleys where our city’s secret gems are hidden, riding through the broad tree-lined avenues of Taipei’s government to see some fine examples of Japanese era colonial architecture. We’ll walk through Democracy Plaza and Chiang Kai-shek Memorial Hall before heading by Metro to Yongkang street for lunch at one of the famed food streets many small local eateries. We’ll also take a 45-minute hike up Elephant Mountain before ending the tour with a leisurely guided tour of Songshan Cultural and Creative Park, dubbed the “Creative Hub of Taipei.”

09:40 – Bike ride around Daan Park
10:50 – Visit Chiang Kai-Shek Memorial Hall
11:40 – Head over to Yongkang Street and have lunch (at your own expense)
13:00 – Taipei Metro ride
13:30 – Hike up Elephant Mountain (spectacular views of Taipei 101)
14:30 – Take a city bus tour
15:00 – Visit Songshan Cultural & Creative Park (1.5 hrs)
