Pianist: Andrei Ivanovich
Andrei is an internationally acclaimed Russian pianist and professor, one of the most outstanding representatives of the Russian piano school. A graduate of the St Petersburg State Conservatory in Russia, the Moscow Conservatory and the Higher Conservatory of Music in Karlsruhe, Germany, he is a member of the Chopin Society of Russia, a member of the Board of Directors of the Rachmaninoff Society in Germany, and an official delegate to the Tchaikovsky International Music Festival.
The first widespread attention to the Ivanovich family name comes from Andrei's great-grandfather Jan Ivanovich, a pianist and composer, who was the creator of the popular waltz "Danube Waves".
Mr Andrei has won several prestigious international piano competitions (Cagliari, Salerno, Cologne, Terni, Gold Medal at the "World Piano Competition") and since then has successfully become a pianist recognised throughout the world. He has performed all over the world, such as the Bolshoi Theatre in Moscow, Carnegie Hall in New York, Lincoln Center in New York, the National Centre for the Performing Arts in China, etc. His long term collaborations with symphony orchestras include: the Russian National Orchestra, the St. Petersburg Philharmonic, the St. Petersburg Moderated Symphony Orchestra, Osaka Philharmonic Orchestra, etc., and he has collaborated with such chiefly renowned musicians as Pletnev and Jorma Panula, among others. It aroused great interest among music lovers and music critics. "The performance was largely reminiscent of the young Ashkenazi, and even more so of the unforgettable Dinu Lipatti recordings, and that is by no means an overly generous compliment", the New York concert review (NJCMR) after the premiere of the Andrei Ivanovitch Carnegie Hall After Andrei Ivanovic's Carnegie Hall debut, the New York concert review wrote.
Andrei Ivanovich has released 15 albums, interpreting composers such as Mozart, Debussy, Mussorgsky, Prokofiev, Shedrin, Rachmaninov, Grieg and, of course, his favourite, Chopin. Some of his recordings have been recommended on well-known trading platforms, and in 2003 the BBC recorded the world premiere of a piano work by the world conductor Yevgeny Muravinsky, performed by Andrei Ivanovich.

Andrei Ivanovic's artistic vision also extends to cinema: in 2002 the Canadian film "Glenn Gould: The Russian Journey" and Andrei Ivanovic's interpretation of "The Art of Fugue" (Bach) were awarded the Grand Prix at the Montreal Film Festival. Montreal Film Festival and was nominated for the "Best Artistic Film Award".
Currently Andrei Ivanovich is based in China, where he contributes significantly to cultural interaction and artistic exchange between Russia and China in many ways. He has been in charge of piano teaching at the St. Petersburg State Conservatory, has served as an external professor at the Shanghai Conservatory of Music and the Harbin Conservatory of Music, regularly teaches masterclasses at the Central Conservatory of Music, and is a member of the jury of international piano competitions and festivals.
