Ari Hoenig (born on November 13, 1973 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania), is a jazz drummer, composer and educator known for his unusual and intense approach to drumming emphasizing complex rhythms in direct harmony with other group members.
Ari is widely noted particularly for his drumming not being relegated to just keeping tempo, or being a side issue to the music he plays in, but rather for elevating drumming as an indispensable part of the performance.
Eden was born in New-York on December 1987, and raised in Tel-Aviv, Israel. Since his early childhood he was exposed to different kinds of music such as jazz, funk and fusion through his father, Gil Ladin – one of Israel’s leading drummers. At the age of 5 Eden started playing the drums, and by 9 years old he began studying classical piano. Always intrigued by rhythm, at the age of 14 he began studying jazz piano privately with Alec Katz and Amit Golan and switched his principal instrument from drums to piano, while also studying ear training and harmony with Yafim Yoffe. Shortly after, still at his early teens, Eden have already performed with Israel's leading jazz musicians in some of the best venues and festival, and moreover took part in several pop and rock bands who performed nationally.
Born in Jerusalem and raised in Buenos-Aires and Tel-Aviv, Or Bareket is currently one of the most in-demand and versatile bassists on the NYC jazz scene.
Winner of the 1st prize at the International Society of Bassists' jazz competition in 2011, Or’s diverse heritage is clearly present in his playing. His approach to improvisation is informed by Mediterranean, South American, and North African folklores, all interpreted through his deep knowledge and appreciation of the American Jazz tradition.
