Synopsis:

The Egyptian prince Tamino was chased by a giant snake and was rescued by the maid of the Queen of the Night. The Queen of the Night told the prince that her daughter was taken away by the villain Sarasto, and that as long as the prince rescued Pamina, she would marry her to him. The Queen of the Night gave the prince a magic flute that could save him from trouble, and the prince set out to rescue Pamina.

The Queen of the Night's husband, the Emperor of the Night, gave him the magic sun mirror and his daughter Pamina before his death.
