The House marks renowned comedian Chen Peisi embarking on something new. With a complete break from the conventional actor-audience relationship, this exploration focuses on comedic interaction and recreation, so that each scene becomes unique and ends differently as the interactive show advances.
The audience has never had a role more important than their role in The House. The first half of this comedy discovers a murder, which provides an omniscient perspective. In the second half, the audience members have to exercise their wisdom and interrogate the suspects.
Then an impromptu performance unfolds between viewers and actors. No one knows what the next moment holds. The audience speaks and affects the plot unconsciously.
Unlike in other plays, this time Chen Peisi lets the audience be a master of the theatre. The cast will be placed into a new arena where many challenges emerge as the actors have no script for reference. Comedy ensues!
