During December, Jazz at Lincoln Center Shanghai will be “transformed” into an interesting Christmas Cottage. There will be all kinds of Christmas decorations, including Christmas tree, lights and Christmas balls, etc.

Shenel Johns is "History in the making" as realized by the -The Boston Globe-. She is a dynamic Jazz performer that commands the stage with an intrepid and lively spirit which heralds incredible range and talent. Shenel's lingua franca is her enamoring voice, which flawlessly translates the incredible intricacies and complexity of her art to something that is easily engrossed regardless of language barriers or culture.
Piano: Jonathan Thomas
Deemed stunningly good by the New York Times, Jonathan Thomas has been captivating jazz enthusiast with his soulful and ardent approach to the art-form. A graduate of The Juilliard School, Thomas was awarded The ASCAP foundation Herb Alpert Young Jazz Composer Award in 2012.
Trumpet: Josh Evans
Born in Hartford Connecticut Josh began playing the trumpet in the fourth grade. He has performed regularly in the bands of masters. He appears on no less than 75 recordings and has two CD’s under his name with a third to be released in 2020.
Drums: Henry Conerway III
Henry Conerway III has emerged as one of the most “in demand” drummers on the jazz scene in the U.S. and abroad since making New York City his home in 2015,as evidenced by his ongoing work with such global touring artists as; the stalwart Jazz at Lincoln Center trumpeter, Marcus Printup; 2015 Thelonious Monk International Jazz Vocal Competition Winner, Jazzmeia Horn; Grammy-nominated trumpeter, Russell Gunn; Count Basie Band director, trumpeter Scotty Barnhart; and several residencies with Jazz at Lincoln Center in Doha, Qatar.
Bass: Endea Owens
Lincoln center’s emerging artist of 2019 and detroit native Endea Owens is a vibrant up and coming bassist. She has been mentored by the likes of Ron Carter. Owens’ has written compositions for the Lansing film festival and has been a featured artist at Spellman College and in Montreal. This year Endea graced the cover of Japan’s “the walker’s” magazine and was featured in the Wall street journal and billboard magazine.
