Disc Jockey's latest edition brings two top DJs together for a night of music, fun, and dancing! Dabeull's feel-good funk music combines with sensational vibe-maker Coubo for a night that'll keep you bopping.

 

Hot off his new album 'Intimate Fonk', French beatmaker Dabeull is ready to bring his passion for music to Shenzhen. He's always believed that music should be shared and loves to make people dance. His creed has guided his music career: "I love it, it's part of me".

One day, his godfather, a composer, lent him a portable sequencer for a day. Dabeull's life changed forever.

 

 

Dabeull is fueled by love and new meetings, notably with Cézaire, head of Roche Musique (FKJ, Kartell, Darius), which was a defining moment which led him back "In Da Studio", the title of their compilation album and its corresponding web series. The album cover features a character all dressed in white, much like a laughing Dr. Strangelove, with a prominent mustache, surrounded by his vintage machines that create the Dabeull sound. 

 

"My goal is to make music the way it was made back in the days - late 70s, early 80s - I wish they would have kept making it that way so I am doing it for them," he says with a smile. All the music he loves comes from then, it comes from the synths.

 

 

The thirty-something Parisian is dedicated to creating music that reflects life's simple and funky joys. Ultimately, the natural double lobe (pronounced Dabeull) on Dabeull's right ear may just be the most normal detail of this happy man!
