The Shanghai Makers 2019 Chapter – Digital Innovashen Hackathon focuses on digital innovation in 3 verticals - Healthcare, Smart Home, and Food & Beverage. The first joint collaboration between Shanghai Makers, Shanghai House of Entrepreneurs and NUS Overseas College (SHEN, NOC) will host 100 participants who will tackle one of three exciting problem statements (to be announced at a later date).

Participants will come up with an idea, go through the validation process, and create a prototype with a sound and feasible business model.

Verticals

1. Healthcare: Lifestyle upgrades and an ageing population has put a spotlight on health-tech in recent years, helping to fuel a boom in the industry.

2. Smart Homes: From managing existing products like Alexa and 天猫精灵 to reinventing the future of such products, smart homes will become the new norm for the future of homes.

3. Food Tech: The F&B industry has evolved to be more customer friendly in terms of delivery but there are many underlying logistical issues behind delivery that are being faced by the industry.

Theme: Digital Innovation for Better Living.

Deliverables: Prototype 5 minute pitch with 2 minute Q&A.
