Suiki Lor Luo Shaoqi, born in Guangzhou, went to Hong Kong at the age of 7 and then moved to the United States at the age of 15. The salons founded by Suiki always set the trends in the local area. Suiki has taught countless people and has students all over the world and is known as China Hairdressing master - the first Chinese cut. Suiki is also an iconic figure in the Shanghai DJ industry and over the years has built a 30,000 record strong vinyl collection.

Since the mid-1970s, DJ Suiki has been spinning records in parties in San Francisco Bay Area, from small underground bars to mega clubs, while organising iconic mid-week club night Simply Done. Suiki also played in clubs and promoted parties in Hong Kong, where he brought in his friends such as Techno originator Derrick May, House masters Louie Vega, Derrick Carter, Mark Farina and the Hardkiss brothers just to name a few.

He was also responsible for bringing one of the first international DJs Derrick May to China in 1996. The highlight of this Hong Kong era was DJing at the massive Hong Kong handover party in 1997 with Grace Jones , Boy George, Paul Oakenfold etc. DJ Suiki was part of the highly successful monthly party Funk Fever crew in Beijing, member of the DJ collective “The Holy Spirts” with iconic DJ Kulu and DJ Andrew Bull aka DJ El Toro, with their appearances in both Kee private clubs in Hong Kong and Shanghai, and at the Singapore Formula One races. Currently he has monthly residence at 44KW and X Bar in Shanghai.
