Riding the "maple" wave, Ember Swift is a multi-faceted musical artist from Canada. Fluent in three languages (English, French and Chinese), her original music style is a fusion of Chinese and Western culture, spanning jazz,folk, reggae, funk and rock.
 
 
In 2014, Ember Swift performed on the competition program "Mamma Mia" and won the third place in the national finals, and her talent and fluency in Mandarin amazed the Chinese audience. The iconic jazz vocals, eclectic musical styles, and deep and witty lyrics made her an unforgettable participant. Even Cecilia Cheung, Huang Lei, Cheng Lei and others were so shocked that they couldn't keep from commenting!Her band includes Canadian (Québecois) guitarist Gabriel Beaudoin, American drummer Ezra Keith Thomas and Ghanaian bassist Francis Anuako-Manu.
 
Ember Swift came to China in 2008 out of a love for Chinese culture, and she bravely entered the Chinese music scene to re-start her career. At the time, she already had 9 albums under her belt, but she simply continued to make music here, in the Middle Kingdom, and hasn't looked back. She has now released a total of 13 original albums since 1996.
 
In 2020, Ember's music was featured in Michael Moore's latest film "Human Planet", and she also sang the new theme song for the popular video game "Mobile Legends".
 
Her band includes Canadian (Quebecois) quitarist Gabriel Beaudoin, American drummer EzraKeith Thomas and Ghanaian bassist Francis Anuako-Manu. They are all very talented musicians in their own right and will provide a performance caliber that is sure to charm Shanghai audiences.

Vocal & Guitar: Ember Swift
Ember Swift is a Canadian original artist, musician, songwriter and performer.Based in Bejing since 2008,she has toured extensively throughout North America, Australia, Europe and Asia. While a global pandemic may be able to(temporarily) slow down the rate of international travel, Ember continues to produce and release music through her own independent label, Few'll Ignite Sound Inc.,a company based simultaneously in Toronto (Canada) and Bejing (China). Since 1996, she has released 13 albums of her own eclectic blend of original pop music that consistently pays tribute to jazz, folk and rock among other styles.
 
 
Electric GuitarL: Gabriel Beaudoin
Originally from Montreal (Canada), Gabriel earned a Master’s degree in music performance from University of Toronto (Toronto) and an undergraduate degree in Jazz Studies from Concordia University (Montreal). He relocated to Beijing, China in 2012 after several years performing professionally as a showband guitarist on cruise ships and in hotels. Gabriel has since done session work for several artists from China, Taiwan and Hong Kong such as Jolin Tsai (蔡依林), Jane Zhang (张靓颖), Tan Weiwei (谭维维), Tia Ray (袁娅维) and Huang Qi Shan (黄绮珊). He was a steady member of veteran Inner Mongolian singer (斯琴格日乐). He started cooperating with CaiXuKun (蔡徐坤) in the fall 2019. Gabriel is active on the Beijing music scene and routinely does session work for other international artists.
 
 
Bass: Francis Anuako-Manu
Born and raised in Ghana, ANUAKO-MANU FRANCIS AKWASI discovered his passion for music at an early age, finding his first musical outlet as a trombone player at 12. At 15, he embraced the bass guitar, becoming an integral part of his musical journey. Relocating to Shanghai in 2015 for studies, FRANCIS's move shaped his education and propelled his music career. Immersed in the local scene, he garnered acclaim as a highly esteemed bass player, collaborating with various bands. His crowning achievement is founding his own band, The Cis Collective, showcasing his artistic vision and leadership. Francis is also a dedicated music educator, working with students of all ages and levels, emphasizing collaboration and teamwork. Francis is a versatile musician, adept at playing various genres, but he truly shines in jazz, neo soul, R&B, and hip-hop. Renowned for his unique approach, he has collaborated as a bass player with local giants like Lawrence Ku, Alec Havick, Ember Swift, Denise Minnifield and numerous others. His dynamic bass lines and undeniable groove have earned him a reputation as a sought-after musician in the industry. From captivating jazz improvisations to infectious R&B hooks, Francis's musical prowess transcends boundaries, captivating audiences and leaving an indelible impression. With an ever-expanding repertoire and a commitment to musical excellence, Francis continues to make waves in the music scene.
 
 
Drums: Ezra Keith Thomas
Ezra Keith Thomas is an expert drummer and percussionist from Houston Texas, USA. He learned to play drums at the age of 3 years old, and he developed his drum skills in middle school, high school, and church. Ezra was a drum instructor in America for 10 years. He played drums on several music studio recording projects, and he also played drums for artists from the television show "American Idol." In 2014, Ezra traveled abroad to pursue his music dreams. He has performed in many countries such as China, South Korea, Abu Dhabi, and the Dominican Republic. Ezra is a multi-talented musician who can play several music styles including Jazz, Blues, Rock, R&B, Funk, Soul, Latin, Gospel, and Reggae music. Ezra believes that music is a universal language that everyone can enjoy, and he is dedicated to creating and performing music that has the power to connect and inspire people around the world.
