The Little Match Girl, a heartwarming production crafted by Broadway's international production team! The original version of this musical was staged in New York, receiving unanimous praise from overseas media and audiences.

"The Little Match Girl" was created by the international musical theater production team of YAYA Theatre Company. It garnered numerous fans upon its premiere in Off-Broadway New York in February 2020. The scriptwriter, choreographer, original music, stage design, costumes, and director were all handled by YAYA Theatre Company's Broadway creative team in New York, achieving a high-caliber performance level with Broadway music and stage production. After its New York premiere in 2020, it also toured in Shenzhen, Shanghai, and other cities in China, receiving high praise. In 2022, it collaborated with UNICEF, bringing together many Broadway actors for a performance at Riverside Church in New York, with all ticket sales proceeds donated to UNICEF. In 2023, it returned to Off-Broadway New York with an all-union cast version, once again stunning New York!

 

This musical tells the story of the lonely Match Girl, who goes out on a cold Christmas Eve to sell matches on the street alone. She is cold and lonely, but she escapes the cruel reality with her amazing imagination. The fantasy world is like a dream, where there are elves who seem to have emerged from a fairyland and a warm kingdom of happiness. When the matches burn out, the Match Girl returns to reality, but after experiencing the dreamy adventure, she is no longer afraid...   This is a heartwarming musical suitable for the whole family. It brings warmth, hope, and strength, allowing people to comprehend the true meaning of life.

 

 

 

Director: Greg

An award-winning director on Broadway and Off-Broadway, he has also taught at New York University.   He also has impressive achievements in the field of International Productions.   During his tenure, he has been guiding young artists, many of whom have achieved success in the theater and contributed to the performing arts.

 

Music Director: Alastair

A New York musician and musical composer.   His works have been broadcast on NBC and New York television, and he has also performed piano concerts in various locations in New York.   His representative works include "The Windiest Corner in the World," "Ultimate Man!  ," "The Family Fiorelli," "Outlaws: The Ballad of Billy The Kid," "Relationships," "Christy and the Playboys," "The Adventures of Superbunny," "A Superbunny Christmas," and "Superbunny's Pirate Vacation."

 

 

Choreographer: Keili

A renowned Broadway musical choreographer and director.   She is one of the few dancers who choreographed for the hit Broadway show "Fosse" with Gwen Verdon.   She has collaborated with her mentor Randy Skinner on multiple Broadway musicals, including "Ain't Broadway Grand," "42nd Street" (Revival), and Irving Berlin's "White Christmas" (all nominated for Tony Awards for Best Choreography).   Her choreography work "One" won her the Connecticut Critics Circle Award for Best Choreography.

 

 

Visual Director: Gregory

A renowned New York costume designer and winner of the highest musical theater award, the Tony Award.   He has designed costumes for authoritative performances in Broadway, international production companies, Off-Broadway, and more.   His representative works include "Rock of Ages" and "Cyrano de Bergerac."
