In 2008, Singapore made history for hosting the world’s first Formula 1® night race and has since continued to attract fans from across the globe as a ‘jewel in the Formula 1® crown’. This year, the FORMULA 1 SINGAPORE GRAND PRIX will host its twelfth edition at the Marina Bay Street Circuit from 20 to 22 September.

Since the inaugural event, over 250,000 spectators have attended each year – and it’s no surprise with the chance to see the world’s finest drivers go wheel-to-wheel under lights at speeds of up to 325km/h, threading the barriers around Singapore’s picturesque Marina Bay.

Adding to the electrifying atmosphere in 2019 are some of the hottest acts from the international music scene – Swedish House Mafia, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Muse, Gwen Stefani, Fatboy Slim, Toots and the Maytals, Hans Zimmer and many more.

Over at the Paddock Club, celebrity chef Heston Blumenthal will make his culinary debut at the Singapore Formula 1 Paddock Club™. Joining him are NOBU at The Boardwalk, Rockpool by Neil Perry, COMO Cuisine in Partnership with Culina, Tarte by Cheryl Koh and Stockton Bar by Maximal Concepts.

For the fans, it’s an incredible made-for-Instagram sight – with the track set against the backdrop of Singapore’s iconic heritage buildings, modern architecture and a stunning skyline. It’s all so accessible, with plenty of dining options, entertainment, hotels, subway stations and shopping malls just a stone’s throw away.

As a street circuit hosting the world’s only full night race in the Formula One calendar, the logistical setup is massive. A crew of over 4,000 works round the clock to set-up the temporary facilities which includes concrete barriers, grandstands and hospitality facilities, entertainment stages and lighting projectors throughout the 799,000sqm Circuit Park in five months.

CHILD TICKET

Child tickets are available in the Pit and Stamford grandstands. These are available for children aged 16 and under at the time of the race.

Children below the age of seven will only be admitted if the parent/guardian signs a letter of undertaking to indemnify SGPPL from any liability arising from their decision to bring with them children under the age of seven. <Link to Indemnity form>

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

1. Will I be able to see the race clearly, without any obstruction, with my walkabout tickets?

Spectators in the walkabout areas can in some areas get closer to the cars than the spectators in grandstand seats, as it is possible for walkabout spectators to stand about 3 or 4 metres away from the edge of the track at certain locations. The concrete and triple guardrail that makes up the lower portion of the barrier is only a metre tall. The rest of the protection consists of a steel wire mesh fence that you can see through clearly. To ensure that spectators get a great view of the race, there will be a number of bleachers located along some of the prime trackside viewing locations for the benefit of walkabout patrons. However, we cannot guarantee completely unobstructed views from all locations due to the nature of a street circuit.

2. What is the race weekend schedule?

The programme for the race weekend will only be firmed up closer to the race month.

3. Are there any discounts for children?

Patrons aged 16 and below can enjoy up to 50% discount on regular price for the Pit 3-Day Grandstand and Stamford 3-Day Grandstand tickets. SGPPL strongly advises that children under the age of seven (7) should not attend the Race for safety and operational reasons. Children below the age of seven (7) will only be admitted if the parent/guardian signs a Form of Release, Waiver & Discharge of Liability And Indemnity Agreement. This form can be obtained from this link or our ticketing counters at the Circuit Park. For the avoidance of doubt, all persons regardless of age must have a valid Ticket to enter the Circuit Park.

4. What is included in the ticket price published on the website?

All ticket prices are inclusive of the prevailing rate of Goods & Services Tax but exclude the delivery or collection charges.

5. Are the tickets transferable?

Each pass in a three-day ticket may be used by a different patron. However, please note that tickets are non-transferable on the day or during the day of presentation.

6. Can I choose seats from the seating plans within a grandstand?

You may choose your preferred grandstand and block but not the individual seats within that grandstand. The computerised ticketing system allocates seats on a best available basis at the time of purchase. This means that when you buy the tickets, you will get the best seats available at that point of time.

7. Do I need to buy a separate ticket for the concerts at the Padang Stage?

All FORMULA 1 SINGAPORE AIRLINES SINGAPORE GRAND PRIX 2019 ticketholders will be able to catch the headlining concerts at the Padang Stage in Zone 4, as long as your ticket corresponds to the date of the concert. For example, you must hold a Friday race ticket to enable you to catch the concerts taking place on Friday. A separate ticket is not required.

8. Can I change my ticket?

Only ticket upgrades are permissible.

9. When is the latest that I will receive my tickets?

If you have bought your tickets through the Singapore GP website or through SISTIC, and opted to collect your tickets personally, you will receive an email regarding ticket collection details in August 2019.
If you have opted to have your tickets couriered to you, you can expect to receive them at the address provided by you in August 2019.

10. Where can I collect tickets onsite during event week?

The location, collection dates and opening hours of the Circuit Park Ticket Collection Centre will be published before August 2019. You will receive an email notification once tickets are ready for collection. To
collect your tickets, please bring along:

Clear print-out of email notification
Any photo-identification card that bears the ticket purchaser's name such as NRIC card, Passport or Driver's License.
Credit card used for the purchase

11. What if I cannot collect my tickets personally?

Please contact us at tickets@singaporegp.sg if you are unable to collect your tickets personally.

12. What if there is heavy rain during the race? Will I get a refund?

In the event of inclement weather on any or all of the race days, the Event Organiser shall have the sole and absolute discretion to delay the race for that day, and if necessary, to cancel the race. The race may resume on the same day after such delay. Refunds will not be offered due to cancellation that is for reasons beyond the Event Organiser's control (please refer to Clause 2.3.1 of the Conditions of Sale & Entry).
