About Concert
This concert is performed by renowned violinist Lu Siqing, together with the Meijer New Youth Orchestra. As both solo violinist and conductor, Lu Siqing is in tune with each of the players in the chamber orchestra, presenting a spectacular feast of music.
Vivaldi's The Four Seasons and Piazzolla's The Four Seasons of Buenos Aires are often performed together as the "Eight Seasons". One of Piazzolla's masterpieces, The Four Seasons of Buenos Aires is itself a tribute to Vivaldi's classic The Four Seasons. The two pieces represent the four seasons in the northern and southern hemispheres and are performed in 16 consecutive movements, starting with Spring, where the audience will follow the musician's performance through the seasons, changing and renewing everything, experiencing two distinctly different styles of seasons in one concert, finally returning to Spring, signifying the cycle of the years and the beginning of a new cycle.
