The inaugural “Game On Festival” will take place from October 18-19, 2024, at Gravity Park, atop Raffles City North Bund in Shanghai. This dynamic festival, infused with the unique spirit of Australian sports culture, is co-hosted by the Australia China Youth Association (ACYA) and the Shanghai Dockers Australian Rules Football Club. While professional sports are often associated with intense competition and
adrenaline, the “Game On Festival” seamlessly blends sports, culture, arts, and commerce, offering the public a window into the rich history and vibrant essence of Australian culture.

 

One of the festival’s highlights is the Australian Rules Football Photography Exhibition, which traces the history of Aussie Rules football from its origins in the 1850s to the present day. This exhibition showcases the evolution of Australia’s most beloved national sport and highlights the growth of Australian football in China.

 

 

In addition to the exhibition, the festival will feature interactive activities combining fitness and Aussie Rules football, allowing participants to experience the energy and charm of Australian sports and culture in a playful and engaging way. Carefully curated brands, predominantly from Australia, along with other related organizations, will also be featured, adding to the immersive experience.
