Today, as many old cities has been through the process of reformation, even rebirth, the joining of traditional and modern pop culture has become a trend. Dashilar, the landmark of old Beijing’s city culture, and Woodstock of Eating, the promoter of modern city pop culture, are working together to present “Dashilar Multicultural Living Festival”, a fusion of the two culture, and an Hutong adventure with food and fun.

A city’s soul-spirit always origin from the youth culture, and youth culture as have always been the thread through the different complex scenes presented by Woodstock of Eating. From the past events, you can see worldwide popular music platform like Noisey, which is under VICE, modern DJ music bar like DADA Bar, famous music authority like Douban Music, and music made by top artists like Jazz at Lincoln Center, New York. Besides those, you can also hear from young artists from Woodstock of Eating’s “Bold Music Plan”, inspiring figures from the STAY-HUNGRY Conference…etc. Together we will “speak” for the city we love.

Locating at the center area of the old Beijing city, Dashilar is the biggest and best preserved cultural district around Ti’anmen square. As the birth place and the epitome of the traditional Beijing’s city culture, Dashilar’s old city blocks has been under the process of modernization, and has already become the most representable landmark of Beijing’s traditional culture.

Food not only needs to be tasty, but also interesting. This event will be happening at the space covering San Jing Hutong, Cha Er Hutong, Yang Mei Zhu Street and Dashilar Public area itself: includes special designed dinning hall, STAY HUNGRY conference, live music performances, great food with special prepared drinks, brands presenting hallway and other colorful cultural contents. When the old Beijing’s central Hutong area meets the young and diverse modern pop culture, the modern and traditional side of Beijing will join together, and presenting this most special Hutong Party of this year in Beijing.
