Joe is one of the most popular fingerstyle guitarist and singer in mainland China. Starting learning piano in childhood, he began studying classical guitar and electric guitar when he was 14. At the age of 19, inspired by Australian fingerstyle master Tommy Emmanuel’s music, he started playing finger-style guitar, and personalized his musical creation.

 

 

Nourished from jazz, country blues, rock and classical music, he integrated his music with his own style. Such natural and freely flowing playing and extremely beautiful melodies have been recognized by masters including Tommy Emmanuel, Peter Finger, Doug Smith amongst others. With his unique American style performance of guitar playing, he presents his perception of music as well as scenes of different feeling and tones to his audiance people through the acoustic guitar.
