This concert will take the audience back to the 2016 Academy Award️ winning film La La Land. La La Land is a Lionsgate Film film starring Ryan Gosling and Emma Stone and written and directed by Damien Chazelle.

 

 

La La Land is the story of a promising pianist and a dreamy actress who meet in the City of Stars and fall in love, but have to reconcile their respective careers.

A live orchestra and jazz band will perform the original soundtrack of the film and synchronise it with the film footage. You'll be immersed in the music of the film as you experience its vivid musical moments, including the incredible solo piano scene!

 

 

The Shanghai Symphony Orchestra and jazz musicians from the Thailand Philharmonic Orchestra play, and the talented Justin Hurwitz, composer of the soundtrack to the film ‘Philharmonia’, conducts in person.

 

 

Justin Hurwitz is an Academy Award®-winning film composer who has composed the music for Whiplash, La La Land, First Man, Babylon, and a number of advertising campaigns including for Louis Vuitton, Cartier, Hennessy, De'Longhi, Perrier, Heineken, and Vital Proteins. His music has also been licensed by brands such as Nike, Apple, Amazon, Lancôme, and the NBA.
