Recently the 3rd prize winner of "Liszt 200 International Two-Piano Competition", the Liang-He duo is acclaimed for their combined artistry and synchronization. The members of the duo, Liang Xiaomin and He Jue began playing together when they were still students at Northwestern University. They developed into a professional ensemble while living in Chicago.
After a decade in the US, the duo has performed at festivals and concert series in China and the United States. They were featured recently on WFMT, Chicago's classical music radio. Their recital at the Beijing Concert Hall received rave reviews from the Chinese Keyboard Magazine and was broadcast on Beijing National Television.
The Liang-He Duo is committed to developing a unique repertoire based on exploring classics of the two-piano literature, as well as creating new works. Their shared respect and understanding for each other's approach to the piano help connect them in a profound, almost seamless thought process throughout their collaboration.
Both Liang and He are Doctorate candidates in piano performance at Northwestern University. Their duo piano coaches include Sylvia Wang and Alan Chow.
