Headbang with the best of them: German dark metal band Lords of the Lost Thornstar! Formed in 2007 by lead singer Chris Harms, ...Thornstar is dark, heavy, thick riffs with flecks of the gothic. Harms himself defines the band's style as a mixture of HIM and Rammstein - and that's good enough for us!
In an interview with the music magazine Zillo, singer Harms said that the name of the band "is the expression of the musical philosophy we have been promoting. We regard music as our own life, and 'lost' Words are right for us."
The unique nature of Harms' compositions has garnered a great deal of critical attention, with Orkus magazine noting how he calls upon: "Unconstrained creation, uncompromising observation, and inspiration from the outside."
As the influence of the band's music expanded, Lord of the Lost has gained an even standing with big names such as Rammstein, Marilyn Manson, and Nine Inch Nails.
