September 16-17: Let's go…Visit a farm!! Family Getaway!

 

It’s time to head to the farm!!  Join other families to learn about organic farming, feed animals, have some hot pot, and “camp out” mongolian style - in a yurt! Enjoy your time on marvelous Chongming Island while you and your kids make new friends :).  

 

  

We will be spending time at the farm with the family...

... learning about organic products…

... doing some planting in the field…

...seeing life on the farm…

... spending the night in a yurt!…

…having a special Chinese hot pot dinner...

Dates: September 16-17 (Saturday morning to Sunday evening)

 

Day 1 - Saturday - September 16     

08:00 - Meet at Hongkou metro station exit 3 (line 8 and line 3, only 4 stops north of People's Square). Hop on the bus and head off to Chongming Island, one of Shanghai’s largest island.    

10:00 - Arrival at our local farm

10:30 - Learn about organic farming, feed animals, check out the fields…

12:00 - Picnic lunch or enjoy some fresh products from the farm          

13:30 - Planting and harvesting activities

17:00 - Have fun in the outdoor and indoor kid’s playgrounds  :):)

19:00 - Organic farm fresh hot pot dinner   

20:30 - Check-into your yurt to spend an awesome night

 

Day 2 - Sunday - September 17

09:00 - Special breakfast from the farm

10:00 - Kite painting - straw hat painting - herb planting - choose your favorite for your morning activity!

12:00 - Picnic lunch or enjoy some fresh products from the farm           

13:30 - Have fun in the outdoor and indoor kid’s playgrounds  :):)

16:00 - Hop on the bus and relax on the way back to Shanghai

18:00 - Arrive in Shanghai

 

 

Transportation:

Included – Private insured bus with A/C

 

Meals:

Included - All meals as listed - special breakfasts and hot pot dinner, with fresh products from the farm!!

Not included - Picnic on day 1 and 2 -  Bring your favorite food or enjoy the fresh products in the farm!!

 

Accommodation:

Included -  Clean double occupancy night in a yurt. These will be booked on a first come first served basis. If there is no more yurt you’ll spend the night in a standard room.

Includes:

Accommodation, 2 day ground transportation, meals as listed (except lunch), activities as listed (choose one in the morning of day 2), insurance, English / Chinese speaking group leaders, an experience of a lifetime and looots of fun!

 

Does not include:

Drinks, picnics, and other personal expenses

 

What you need to bring:

PASSPORT, camera/GoPro, sunscreen, walking shoes, toiletries, small daypack, hat, towel, flip-flops  and your favorite food for our picnic

 

Cancellation & Disclaimer:

If the traveler decides to cancel, s/he can get refund of the deposit (a small cancellation fee may apply) up to August 23th and no refund after that.
