Fabrizio Bosso's Quartet
Fabrizio Bosso began playing the trumpet at the age of five and in 1988, at the age of 15, graduated from the Conservatory Giuseppe Verdi in Turin. In 1994, he won the competition “Summertime in Jazz” with his quartet as best soloist. From 1994 onwards, he has been working intensively freelance collaborating, and recording as the sideman, with various musicians including Gianni Basso, Paolo di Sabatino, Riccardo Zegna, Enrico Pieranunzi, Maurizio Giammarco, Massimo Moriconi, Emanuele Cisi, and many others. In 1999, he was elected “Best New Talent” in the Top Italian Jazz referendum launched by the magazine Musica Jazz, the most important Italian magazine in the sector. With Blue Note, in 2007 he released one of his most important records, "You've Changed".

 

 

In 2010 he released Spiritual with Alberto Marsico and Alessandro Minetto with whom he would also release Purple in 2013 for Verve/Universal. In the same year, he was elected “Best Trumpet Player" in the Top Jazz referendum launched by the magazine, Musica Jazz. At the end of 2014, at the Umbria Jazz Winter Festival, Fabrizio Bosso's Quartet performed in four concerts (all sold out) with four different projects. After the release of the live double album, followed by many concerts of the Quartet in Italy and abroad, on July 11th, 2017 at the Umbria Jazz Festival, Fabrizio Bosso presented his new compelling project dedicated to Dizzy Gillespie, “THE CHAMP”.

 

Karima Quartet
The Quartet consists of soloist Karima Ammar Mouhoub, Pianists Piero Frassi, double bass player Francesco Puglisi, drum player Lorenzo Tucci, and saxophonist Rosario Giuliani.

 

Karima was born in Livorno and approached music while still an adolescent. In 2006 she was admitted to the sixth edition of the television programme, Amici, a talent competition conducted by Maria De Filippi and was ranked in third place, winning the Critics Award, assigned unanimously. In the same year, Karima signed her first record contract with Sony BMG. In 2009, she participated in the Sanremo Music Festival in the category “Proposte”, with the song Come in Ogni Ora. During the second evening of the festival, Karima was accompanied on stage by Burt Bacharach and Mario Biondi. On the occasion of the Festival, the EP Amare le difference was released.

 

 

In 2010, Karima opened the concerts of Whitney Houston's Italian tour, participated as the special guest in the Italian tour of Burt Bacharach and was also a supporter of the concerts of John Legend, Anastacia, Simply Red and Seal. In 2015, her album Close to You, for Universal, on the Decca Black label was released and sealed, in precious synthesis, the intense experience encountered with Burt Bacharach. In 2017, the year began with a new experience. Karima interpreted Rachel Marron, the lead character of the musical The Bodyguard, from the film of the same name in which this same role was interpreted by Whitney Houston.
