Founded in 2000, the widely acclaimed Mozart Piano Quartet is one of the most exciting piano quartets in the international chamber music scene today.
It unites with Paul Rivinius (pianist), Mark Gothoni (violinist), Hartmut Rohde (violin) and Peter Hörr (cellist) four international soloists and prizewinners of numerous international competitions including the ARD Music Competition in Munich, German Music Competition, Scheveningen International Music Competition and Naumburg Competition in New York.
One programme highlight of the Mozart Piano Quartet is their impressive interpretation of Beethoven’s Symphony No.3 “Eroica” that always moves the audience to massive bravos and standing ovation.
Another particular piece of the Mozart Piano Quartet’s repertory is Schönberg’s “Transfigured Night” adapted for piano quartet by the Australian composer Barton Staggs which was welcomed by the Schönberg family and premièred at the Arnold Schönberg Center in Vienna in 2009.
Numerous radio live recordings and productions in Australia, Brazil, Italy, Spain, the United States and Germany prove the outstanding artistic performance of the Mozart Piano Quartet.
