What is a Poetic Dance Theater?
The "Nine Songs" of the pre-Qin period can be regarded as the earliest form of poetic drama, and Yuanqu can also be regarded as a readable and performable poetic drama. As a poetic drama, it has both a strong poetic feeling and a dramatic plot and scenes. In addition to the prose form of the stage prompts, all the lines of the characters are in poetic form, emphasizing poetry and strong lyricism, giving the reader a wide space for artistic reconstruction. The "Poetic Dance Theater" is a comprehensive stage presentation that uses dance as the vocabulary and the poetic expression of the body to create a realm of "silence is better than sound".
Why is mineral blue and mineral green precious?
The enduring color of "The Legend of A Panorama of Mountains and Rivers" painted by Ximeng is attributed to the developed political economy and literature and art of the Northern Song Dynasty. Mineral blue and mineral green are extremely costly mineral pigments, with precious raw materials and elaborate processes. When the fruits of these top-notch craftsmanship were brought together on the painting case of the eighteen-year-old artist, Ximeng, with his exquisite technique, expanded the new possibilities of lime green coloring and pushed lime green landscape painting to the pinnacle of its ultimate development.
Multi-temporal staggering depicts a humanistic picture of intermingling scenes
This Poetic Dance Theater breaks the conventional linear narrative technique on stage and adopts a staggered narrative structure. The play is set in a time when the "The Legend of A Panorama of Mountains and Rivers" is about to be exhibited in reality and when the young painter Ximeng was about to finish his work a thousand years ago. The audience will follow the perspective of a modern-day Forbidden City researcher, the scroll exhibitor, as he wanders through a legendary spiritual world. As a result of his research into the "The Legend of A Panorama of Mountains and Rivers", the exhibitor enters the inner world of Ximeng, accompanies him through the precious time he spent painting the "The Legend of A Panorama of Mountains and Rivers", and finally shares his heart with the talented young man who is recorded in only a few numbers, to find out how the Thousand Miles of Rivers and Mountains was able to "walk alone for a thousand years". The "Thousand Miles of Rivers and Mountains" can be "unique" by chance and necessity, but also read the deep emotional connection between ancient relics and modern people.
