The highly regarded Italian keyboard soloist Riccardo Cecchetti performs music by C.P.E. Bach on the fortepiano.
Carl Philipp Emanuel Bach is now recognized as one of the most significant composers of the time that covered the transition between the baroque and classical periods. As opposed to his brothers, he always cultivated the musical traditions associated with his father Johann Sebastian whilst adopting a more dramatic style of writing which would later reach fulfillment with the music of Haydn and Mozart.
Italian keyboard soloist Riccardo Cecchetti is the founding member of various chamber music groups including the internationally renowned Voces Intimae piano trio. He plays both period and modern pianos and fortepianos. His repertoire, whilst including contemporary pieces, is mostly concentrated on the chamber, solo classical and early romantic music.
