It’s hard to believe it was over 25 years ago that Nirvana recorded MTV Unplugged. It was an eerie, magical recording that will always remind us what was yet to come if the world had not lost Kurt Cobain. The Pearl is hosting an intimate night of live performances to commemorate this bygone era of music.
Over the years we lost too many from that musical scene. Alice In Chain’s Layne Staley, Chris Cornell of Soundgarden, Audioslave, and Temple of the Dog. Shocking ling then Linkin Park and Temple of the Dog vocalist, Chester Bennington took his own life. Finally last year the world lost the powerful Dolores O’Riordan of the Cranberries.
We chose July 20 as it’s the 2 year anniversary of Chester Bennington journey to the other side.
In loving memory of how much great music and emotion these artists have brought to our lives, we are going to create a very unique and intimate “Unplugged” evening with a fully acoustic band of guitars, bass, percussion, and cellist.
Seating and tickets will be limited as we want all to enjoy this special night in a friendly creative atmosphere.
Happy Hour 6-8pm. Dinner service available throughout the night. The live concert begins at 9 pm.
