March 2-4: Let’s go... Skiing!

 

Love to ski?  We are heading up to the North of China for some awesome skiing at the resort that will be used for the 2022 Winter Olympics, chill in hot springs, try some delicious local food, and more!!

 

Good for all levels!

We will be spending two whole days in China’s famous skiing city - Chongli…

...skiing (or snowboarding) in two awesome ski resorts…

 

...enjoying a variety of local food…

...and more!!!

Dates: March 2-4

 

Day 1 – Friday, March 2

06:55 - Catch our flight from to Zhangjiakou

10:00 - Airport pick up and head to Chongli

11:00 - Head over to the ski shop to get our gear

11:30 - Local specialty lunch

12:30 - Head to Fulong Ski Resort

13:00 - Start our awesome skiing/snowboarding time!!!

17:00 - Finish our winter sports,head over to our serviced apartment and check in

18:00 - Local specialty dinner

 

Day 2 – Saturday, March 3

08:00 - Simple breakfast

09:00 - Hop on the bus to Wanlong Ski Resort

09:30 - Start our awesome skiing/snowboarding time!!!

12:00 - Lunch in the resort on your own

17:30 - Finish our winter sports and head over to the restaurant

18:00 - Local specialty dinner

19:00 - Head out for a night on the town, grab some drinks

 

Day 3 – Sunday, March 4

07:30 - Simple Western breakfast

08:30 - Start our final skiing/snowboarding time!!!

12:00 – Finish up and head to the restaurant for lunch

13:00 – Hop on the bus to the airport

14:30 - Arrive at the airport

16:05 - Catch our flights back

Included - Insured private bus with A/C, shuttle bus in Wanlong resort

Not included – trains to/from Beijing

Accommodation:

Included - 2 nights - Clean double occupancy rooms are included in the price.  These will be booked on a first come first served basis.  If you wish to room alone, the single occupancy fee is an extra 500 RMB per person per total. Please note that availability may be limited. (We can help you find someone to share if needed. However, if there is an uneven number of travelers, the nightly single occupancy may apply. Pairings in this case are distributed in order of request.)

Price: Book now and get the early bird price of 2,999 RMB, or 3,299 RMB if the deposit is paid after February 8.

Includes:

3-days onsite transportation, accommodation, one full day skiing tickets in Wanlong and 2 half days in  Fulong resort (including ski equipment rental fee; if you bring your own, we will refund 150 RMB), emergency medical insurance, skiing insurance, mineral water, driver’s allowance, local skiing guide (not coach), English/Chinese speaking facilitator (if the number of people on the trip is 10+), pre-trip scouting and site research, coupons, an experience of a lifetime, and looots of fun!

 

Does not include:

Drinks, meals not mentioned, equipment rental fee (helmet, clothes, gloves, glasses, locker, etc.), skiing/snowboarding coach, other personal expenses

 

What you need to bring:

PASSPORT/ID card, camera/GoPro, small day pack, skiing clothes and trousers, equipment (helmet, gloves, glasses,or rental onsite), hat, scarf, swimming suit, flip flops, towel, toiletries, etc.

 

Cancellation & Disclaimer:

If the traveler decides to cancel, s/he can get refund of the deposit (a small cancellation fee may apply) up to February 8 and no refund after that. The schedule may be adjusted due to weather conditions, unforeseeable events, etc. For complete information please refer to www.travelers-society.com/terms-conditions.

 

How much does it cost to rent skiing gear?

If needed - Ski clothes can be rented for ~150 RMB and helmets, ~80 RMB.

 

Can I get skiing lessons?

Yes, a skiing coach will cost approximately 300 RMB/hour.
