Internationally known as the “Songbird of Love” Elaine Stepter is by no means a stranger to the world of music. Recently completing her fifth, self-produced solo album “Getting Back to Basics”. Listening to the songs on this album, takes your mind and heart instantly to the times when love was love and felt from the heart, and the belief that love still exists in the hearts of men and women everywhere and of every generation.
She delivers that rich and sultry voice as a vehicle to each lyric and line, daring it to ride the ultimate wave of her talent only to caress each emotion and thought as if it were hers and hers alone. Elaine’s voice is infectious, and the pure joy of her talent will permeate your soul and heart and find a new appreciation for “getting back to basics”.
Elaine Stepter hails from the City of Angels, Los Angeles and has been in and around the entertainment industry since childhood. Forming a singing group called Sweet Taste of Perfection in junior high school gave her a training ground for her education in tonal quality and harmonic expression. While attending the Eubanks Conservatory of Music to study piano and voice, Elaine was notably exceptional in the area of composing. Soon thereafter she diligently worked on her first single for release, “Promises”.
Following the release of her debut recording Elaine continued to sing. However, she also began her journey as an editor and columnist for Black Radio Exclusive Magazine. Even though Elaine experienced tremendous satisfaction and experience there, she realized that strengthening her talent as a singer would put her “on the scene in the forefront” as opposed to being behind the scenes. Her development as a vocalist continued to sharpen, as well as becoming a songwriter and producer, which I must add Elaine excelled in after which she released her second single “I’ll Always Be A Part of You”. Her recording of “The Sweetness of Your Love” which was a hit from her debut album, followed by “Good Love” featured on the soundtrack of the movie Meteor Man.
