Event details

The St.Petersburg Russian Classical Ballet was founded in 1992. The director of the theater Anatoly Nikiforov and artistic director Irina Safonova are former performers of the Mariinsky Theatre. They have united like-minded teachers from the Mariinsky Theatre through the direct involvement of the administration of Kirovsky region of St Petersburg.
 
 
Over the years the theater has grown into a creative team with great artistic abilities. Theater performances are original full-length classical ballets different from the productions of other professional companies.
 
 
Performance:

Sabina Yapparova
 
In 2001, she graduated from the Rudolf Nureyev Bashkir Ballet College in Ufa and joined the St Petersburg Tachkin Ballet Theatre. In 2007, she joined the Mikhailovsky Ballet Theatre, where her repertoire included the roles of Juliet (Romeo and Juliet, chor. by Oleg Vinogradov), Clemence (Raymonda), Kitri and Cupid (Don Quixote), Princess Aurora, Diamond Fairy, Violant Fairy (The Sleeping Beauty), Manu (La Bayadère), Valeria (Spartacus, chor. by Georgy Kovtun), Masha (The Nutcracker, chor. by Nikolay Boyarchikov), Gulnare (Le Corsaire, rev. by Farukh Ruzimatov), and the title role in La Sylphide.

Now her repertoire includes solo roles in the new versions of the ballets Swan Lake, Giselle, ou Les Wilis, Don Quixote, La Bayadère, ballets Cipollino, Laurencia, The Flames of Paris, The Nutcracker, Romeo and Juliet, The Sleeping Beauty, Multiplicity. Forms of Silence and Emptiness, as well as one-act ballets by Nacho Duato and by Ivan Vasiliev.
 
Sergey Strelkov

In 2011, Sergey Strelkov graduated from the Vaganova Ballet Academy (class of Boris Bregvadze) and the same year he joined the Mikhailovsky Ballet. In 2011, together with Olga Smirnova he participated in the Icons of Russian Ballet in memory of Galina Ulanova at the London Coliseum. At the Mikhailovsky Theatre, he performed the title role in Spartacus (chor. by George Kovtun), Rose Waltz in The Nutcracker (chor. by Nikolay Boyarchikov), Grand pas in Raymonda, Isaac Lanquedem in Le Corsaire (rev.by Farukh Ruzimatov), and Youth in La Sylphide. Now his repertoire includes solo and corps de ballet roles in the ballets Swan Lake, Don Quixote, Le Corsaire, The Sleeping Beauty, Romeo and Juliet, The Flames of Paris, The Nutcracker, Multiplicity. Forms of Silence and Emptiness, La Halte de cavalerie, Class Concert, and White Darkness.
