Famous Argentine theatrical artist and puppeteer. He spent most of his life creating, manipulating, teaching and learning puppets. For as long as he can remember, he was fascinated by the stories told by his grandfather, and it was his grandfather who recreated many creative scenes and characters with the most common objects in the house, starting Omar's imaginative journey of drama. Together with his twin brother, he became a student of the first puppet school in Argentina and devoted his life to the development of the art of puppetry.

 

OMAR ALVAREZ TITERES was founded in 1987 in Buenos Aires by two brothers, Claudio Alvarez and Omar Alvarez. As the representative of Argentine stage art, the company is committed to the development of Argentine puppet art, its works have won more than 30 international awards, advocated and participated in many major national art festivals, and participated in the production of many international cooperation projects. For the development of puppetry, the company has actively committed itself to the research, training and development of puppetry in its own theater in Buenos Aires, and has set up more than 20 puppet workshops, attracting countless puppet-related practitioners and creating a unique artistic style.
