ACT Shanghai Contemporary Theatre Festival (ACT Shanghai) is an annual international festival for performing arts, held in Shanghai Dramatic Arts Centre and other partner venues since 2005. It focuses on presenting new and cutting-edge works of theatre, dance and performances from all over the world. In almost two decades, ACT Shanghai has cultivated a young, curious audience unique to Shanghai and become an important connecting platform for local and international artists with the Chinese audience.

Before the gods of Olympus, Titans ruled the universe from the beginning of time, and they were the first gods to be imagined by man. Titans reflects the contemplation of eternal time and existence, the tracing and exploration of the past, the future, the ideal, the reality and the moral order. Eccentric, iconoclastic and existential, this mythological fable freely mixes different genres.

Euripides Laskaridis (director, performer) has been performing since 1995, working with such directors as Dimitris Papaioannou and Robert Wilson. He founded the OSMOSIS in 2009 and presented works at various theatres and festivals internationally. Osmosis, from the ancient Greek ōsmos – “a thrust through”, is a soft mingling and slow spread. OSMOSIS explores everyday life – the little details, the collective subconscious, the imaginary, and the absurd - with the company’s gaze fixed firmly on unexpected slants of the human condition.
