The Kyiv Classic Orchestra is unique in Ukraine. For the time being it is the only non-governmental orchestra in Ukraine. The audience of the orchestra has been growing steadily over the past few years. The Kyiv Classic Orchestra is well-known not only in Ukraine but also in many other countries.
The orchestra is active in going on tours. In 2006 alone the Kyiv Classic Orchestra gave concerts in France, Belgium, and Italy. During those trips, the orchestra, in particular, played in such prestigious halls as the Great Hall of UNESCO and the Madeleine Church.
The composition of the Kyiv Classic Orchestra can differ in size from a chamber orchestra (10 to 12 players) to a symphony orchestra (100 players.)

Herman Makarenko - conductor of the National Academic Opera and Ballet Theatre of Ukraine named after Taras Shevchenko, the chief conductor and artistic director of Kyiv Classic Orchestra, People's Artist of Ukraine, Doctor of Arts, Professor, Ambassador of the Ukrainian culture.
He has toured with concerts around the world: Belgium, Vatican City, Iran, Italy, Canada, Cyprus, Macedonia, Russia, Slovakia, Serbia, Slovakia, United States, France, Croatia, Czech Republic and others.
