[Artist Introduction]

Chen Xi
is a violinist who teaches at the Central Conservatory of Music in China.

- The world's most authoritative music magazine, Stradivarius, called him "a virtuoso with a strong personality and great brilliance."

- The New York Times described him as "a violinist who plays with brilliance."

- In 2000, Chen Xi was awarded the prize at the 8th Wieniawski International Violin Competition.

- In 2001, he won the first prize in the National International Competition; the first prize in the youth category of the 7th National Violin Competition and the Award of Excellence in the performance of Chinese works.

- In 2002, at the age of 17, Chen Xi won the Silver Medal in the 12th Tchaikovsky International Music Competition for Violin (the Gold Medal was missing), becoming the youngest winner of the first prize in the history of the event. During the award ceremony, Russian President Vladimir Putin was present and highly praised, and Chen Xi's photo was collected and displayed in the Tchaikovsky Memorial Hall, which is the only Chinese musician's photo in the museum of the great musician.

In 2007, as a representative of Chinese musicians, Chen Xi played at the "Ban Ki-moon's Election as UN Secretary-General Celebration Concert" jointly held by China, Japan and Korea at the UN Headquarters in New York. He was the first Chinese violinist to perform for more than 100 dignitaries at the UN headquarters.

- In 2012, he was awarded as one of the top ten violinists in China by CCTV.

- In recent years, Chen Xi has been active in the international and domestic music scene, covering all provinces and cities in China, as well as Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan, and has performed as a soloist with renowned orchestras and master classes in the United States, Canada, Russia, France, Turkey, Italy, Japan and Korea. He has given solo concerts in internationally renowned concert halls, such as Carnegie Hall in New York, Disney Hall in Los Angeles, the representative of modern concert halls, Kodak Theatre, where the most Oscar ceremonies are held, Jordan Hall in Boston, Tokyo Opera Hall, Taipei Chung Cheng Hall, Seoul Art Hall, Tchaikovsky Hall in Moscow, Auditorium of the Louvre in Paris, and Beijing The National Centre for the Performing Arts (NCPA) in Beijing and other famous concert halls.

- Yin Yijia graduated with honors from the piano department of the Central Conservatory of Music and the piano department of the Manhattan School of Music. During her undergraduate studies at the Central Conservatory of Music, he served as class president, secretary of the league branch, and secretary of the General Committee of the Piano Department. She won many scholarships, outstanding students and outstanding student leaders.

- She was invited to perform in the Manhattan Chamber Music Festival and received critical acclaim. She graduated with full honors and received her master's degree. She was awarded the Outstanding Student Award by the Dean of the Manhattan School of Music for her outstanding performance. She has taught at the Central Conservatory of Music since the age of 25, and was awarded the "New York City Distinguished Contribution Award" in 2018, together with pianist Lang Lang. Yijia Yin has won many international and domestic competitions, including the second place in the professional group finals of the Schumann International Piano Competition and the first place in Shenyang; the first prize in the YMCA-YWCA National Piano Open Competition; the excellent performance prize in the professional group of the Second National Piano Competition in Hong Kong; and the third prize in the professional group of the Shenyang TV Piano Competition.

- Yijia Yin has performed all over the world and has been invited to perform in the United States, Russia, Singapore, Beijing National Centre for the Performing Arts, Beijing Concert Hall, CCTV, the US Embassy, the German Embassy, the Centennial Art Center, Qingdao, Guangzhou and many other places. Collaborators include Lynn Harrell, Wolfgang Schmidt, Philippe Muller, Alexdander Buzlov, Claes Gunnarsson, Lu Siqing, Qin Liwei and many others. In the 2013 Beijing Contemporary Music Festival, she collaborated with the China Philharmonic Orchestra and successfully performed chamber music works by several Chinese and foreign composers. He has toured with the faculty repertory of the Central Conservatory of Music and received critical acclaim. She has been invited several times to perform and lecture on classical music for alumni of Harvard and Columbia University. She has been invited to participate in CCTV programs several times and was the official piano art director of CCTV Piano and Violin Competition in 2013.
