August 3 - 5  Let’s go…Mountain hiking & Volcanic Lake Camping!!!

 

This trip is all about hiking through ancient volcanic rivers and lakes. Camp by a billion year old volcanic lake, take an awesome trek through a bamboo forest, check out an awesome buddhist temple, stroll through an ancient village, go swimming in a lake, awesome BBQ, bonfire party...and more!!

We will be camping by a volcanic lake…

… taking an unforgettable trek through bamboo filled fields...

…and on volcanic streams…

...checking out an awesome ancient village...

...visiting the local villages and getting our own woven sandals...

Dates: August 3-5  (Friday to Saturday)

 

Day 1 – Friday, August 3

16:30 - Meet at Hongkou Stadium (Metro Lines 8 and 3) Exit 3, outside - follow the music!

21:30 -  Arrive at our guesthouse and check in

 

Day 2 – Saturday, August 4

08:00 – Simple Western breakfast  

09:00 -  Begin our awesome trek through forests, streams, and stone roads

12:00 - Picnic lunch

14:00 - Reach the top of the mountain, visit the an awesome Temple

15:00 - Go swimming in a billion year old volcanic lake!

17:00 -  Watch the sunset and enjoy a campsite BBQ

18:00 -  Bonfire party with drinks and music!

 

Day 3 – Sunday, August 5

04:30 - Early rise to see the sunrise

07:00 - Campsite style breakfast

08:00 - Begin our lake trek, down the mountain and through a bamboo forest and rivers

11:00 - Put on your very own handmade straw stream walking sandals and take a walk in the streams

12:00 - Local specialty lunch

14:00 - Return to Shanghai

18:30 - Arrive in Shanghai
