The Evening
Wine & The City is back for another event, and this time you will dive into the fascinating yet complex wine region of Burgundy. Cradle of Pinot Noir and Chardonnay, Burgundy has always had a specific place in the world of wine, because of its history, its winemaking techniques and especially his greatest wines, often imitated but never equaled.
During this evening, we will make you discover this famous wine region and give you the historical background behind how, and why, Burgundy manages to produce some of the world’s best wines.
Our second installment in our Artist Series promises to be an exciting one! We will feature the incredibly talented artist Mikka Kabugo who will offer a live painting performance during the dinner and share with us his passion for Art.

The Wines:
Champagne Drappier Brut Nature Sans Souffre NV
Here everything is purity. no sulphur is added to this cuvée during the different stages of vinification, allowing the Pinot Noir to express itself in perfect freedom. Without dosage but even so exhibiting a remarkable roundness thanks to the maturity of the fruit and the time spent down in the cellars, this cuvée evokes lovely apples and Williams pear, with a hint of citrus fruits.
Domaine Emmanuel Giboulot Combe d'Eve 2014
Full handpicked harvest, the alcoholic fermentation is done in used French oak barrel to keep the purity and the minerality. 18 months maturation on lies before the bottling.
Domaine d'Ardhuy Pommard "Les Lambots" 2014
The Pommard « Les Lambots » is the perfect example of Pommard: its well-structured, rich, and robust qualities are more characteristic than fruitiness or delicacy. This is an excellent wine to complement game or rich meat dishes and stews.
Domaine d'Ardhuy Nuits Saint Georges "Aux Herbues" 2014
His parcel produces on average 2400 bottles a year. A deep red robe with purplish tints gives a nose of blackcurrant with notes of venison and leather. The wines of Nuits Saint Georges, characterized by firm tannins, are generally ideal for ageing.
Domaine des Beaumont Morey-Saint-Denis 1er Cru "Les Sorbès" 2007
Maintenance of grounds by mechanical work only, high trellis, thinning-out of leaves on one side, simple Guyot pruning, severe de-budding respecting the yields.
