LEARNING OBJECTIVES
This event is designed with the Green Steps triple focus method to achieve the following aims:
Direct aim: Learn about natural bird homes and acquire the skills to build a man-made bird home
Indirect aims:
- Gross motor skills: move large and heavy objects
- Fine motor skills: manipulate small objects and tools; draw a plan
- Science skills: matching, pairing and classifying objects
- Language: bilingual terminology for bird homes and tools
Environmental intelligence:
- Practice: help to create more living space for birds
- Observation: there are many different kinds of nests
- System awareness: birds are in the upper third of the food chain and affected by wetlands destruction

Green Steps provides fun outdoor experiential education for families, schools and companies by building appreciation and respect for the environment through original activities near Shanghai.
With Nature as the playground and laboratory, each experience is an opportunity for the participants to discover in-depth the natural processes that maintain the balance of the ecosystem and learn to interact with the Outdoors in fun and responsible ways.
